Transmissions 2017, Socially engaged project and installation with four radio transmitters and mirrored acrylic signs, dimensions variable A four-channel sound installation for car radios, commissioned by the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs for the Edgewood, NM Town Park and Pavilion. The audio featured a conversation among three of the town’s residents on the topic of “persistence and change,” a theme chose by the New Mexico DCA. Each voice in the conversation was recorded separately and then broadcast on a separate radio transmitter. Thus, multiple cars and viewers will had to be present to hear the entire conversation. A fourth radio transmitter broadcast a field recording of wind blowing at the site, a prominent and persistent environmental feature in Edgewood

(provisional) Park 2015, Socially engaged project and installation with houseplants and found furniture 35' x  40' x 12' A project that temporarily transformed a Chicago gallery into a public park during the winter months. The indoor park space was created by temporarily borrowing houseplants from over 100 participants in the city. The plants were labeled with the names of their respective neighborhoods and were installed on pedestals built from donated furniture. (provisional) Park adopted the same policies of use as Chicago City Parks. That is, it was open daily to the public from 6AM-11PM as a non-prescriptive space for play and leisure. It also became a free venue for community members to stage other short-term projects, such as readings, concerts, and classes

A Piece for Two Hills and a City 2016, Installation with sod, fill dirt, and vinyl, 15' x 8' x 1' A site-specific installation designed for gallery located on the 7th floor of a building in downtown Chicago. The installation replicated a small hill located 20 miles away that occupies the exact same elevation, 731 feet above sea level, as the gallery. Viewers were invited to walk on the hill and enact two performance scores that referenced vertical and horizontal movement through the city.

The installation replicated a small hill located 20 miles away that occupies the exact same elevation, 731 feet above sea level, as the gallery. Viewers were invited to walk on the hill and enact two performance scores that referenced vertical and horizontal movement through the city.

The performer alternately read texts referencing the breath and the human body, while watering a plant and drinking from a jug of water. The piece’s title refers to the number of number of human breaths it would take to fill the gallery space at Nahmad Projects, where the performance took place.
